My name is Madeleine Bergendahl and I live together with my husband, Thord, and our youngest son, Fredrik. We live at Lundby Gård, 3 kilometers outside of Kolsva. We are situated in Bergslagen, and are only 50 km outside of Västerås, 150 km from Stockholm, and 70 km from Örebro.

Lundby

I have grown up with a black miniature poodle. When I decided to buy a dog, the choice was easy. My husband has two dogs for hunting. A poodle, he said, “wasn’t his cup of tea”. Since then, however, he has totally changed his opinion. Today, our poodles are as much a part of our family, as my husband, or I are.

We bought “Aramis” in October 1986. His official name was “Eldash Zooming Promise”. He left the present life in december 2001, in the age of 15. He was healthy and vital ’til the end. His breeder showed him as a junior, and his results were fantastic. Since then, my interest in dog shows has continued to grow. I have had great successes in the ring with my dogs, and I really enjoy the time I spend with other breeders. These shows continue to be personally satisfying.

On our farm, we have large area surrounding the house for the dogs to run and play. The first litter of puppies was born in 1992. The parents were Aramis and Sandra (Delicados Yabadabadoo). Currently, between 2-3 litters are born every year. At the age of four weeks, the puppies move from our bedroom, to the kitchen. They are trained socially and have their coats’ groomed regularly, until it is time for them to move to their new homes.

Today, we have both dwarf and miniature poodles, black and brown. After owning poodles for 15 years, both my husband and I do believe that they are the ideal dog.
